District of Ostholstein
In the district administration there are several contact persons working in the area of migration and refugee aid. On this page you can find contacts and remits of the migration management, the migration advice, the advisory service for voluntary refugee aid, the foreigners' authority and the team for unaccompanied minors.
The migration management coordinates migrant integration and participation in Ostholstein. It supports the district administration's and other organizations' intercultural opening and the participation of migrants in all areas of the society.
The migration advice is open to all migrants 27 and older. It offers advice regarding questions of residency (e.g rights and obligations during the asylum procedure, settlement, naturalisation, immigration, familiy reunion, return migration, rights and obligations of EU citizens). It offers help in cases of bureaucratic uncertainties and answers questions regarding the integration process. The migration advice is bound to professional secrecy. During office hours, the advice is open to everyone, appointments can be made.
Advisory service for voluntary refugee aid
The advisory service for voluntary refugee aid wants to support and relieve volunteers by providing various offers, like training and informational sessions, as well as exchange opportunities.
The foreigners' authority is responsible for all questions regarding foreigners' rights of residence with the exception of asylum procedures.
Team for unaccompanied minors
The team for unaccompanied minors (UmA-Team) arranges for unaccompanied minors to be taken into care and all other necessary assistance.
